Foundation of the Hellenic World
DESCRIPTION:
The foundation of the Hellenic world is one of the most prominent charitable establishments. It was founded in Athens in 1993. It is a complete building complex for cultural activities of a total area of 60,000m2 and buildings of 35,000m2 which include the ‘Dome’, the theatre, building 1 and the Atrium, which is the open space in the middle of the three basic building complexes. Areas of the latest technology are hosted with virtual reality rooms, contemporary exhibition areas with benchmark the Theatre, with a total capacity of 1050 persons. The aforementioned areas are supplemented with multiple level foyers as well as supporting rooms, shops etc. The most advanced installation systems were applied in the buildings: independent air conditioning, ventilation and smoke ventilation systems, special lightings with adjustment and control by the control room capability, the most advanced audiovisual system and other low voltage power supply systems and special earthings to avoid interferences. Due to the large public gathering, combined detection systems have been chosen in addition to full firefighting systems in the aforementioned areas.
